- **Copilot coding agent workflow:** Copilot can work on repository tasks from documented kickoff paths, make changes on a branch, and present work for review through GitHub task and pull request flows.
- **Issue assignment and prompt kickoff:** Assigning an issue to Copilot is useful when the work is already captured as an issue. Prompt-based kickoff is useful when the user starts from a direct task request. In both cases, clear scope matters.
- **Acceptance criteria:** Acceptance criteria tell the agent what done means. They reduce vague implementation choices and give reviewers a concrete basis for evaluating the result.
