dotCreds Privacy Policy

This is the general policy for dotCreds web practice pages. Last updated: April 12, 2026.

Website practice Ads and analytics Optional progress sync

Short version

Use the site as a guest, or optionally add email later to sync progress. We use privacy-friendly analytics, AdSense ads, and local storage for daily practice progress.

What we collect

Practice progress

Daily question answers, score counts, and cert-page progress can be stored in your browser local storage. If you choose email progress sync, the same progress can be associated with your email address so it can move across browsers.

Email progress links

If you request a magic link, we store the email address and a temporary hashed sign-in token. The raw token is sent to you and is not stored as plain text.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand page views, catalog clicks, and practice-page usage without building invasive personal profiles.

Ads

dotCreds pages may show Google AdSense ads. Google may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, and improve ads according to Google's policies.

How we use it

Core site behavior

We use local progress data to keep your daily practice state from resetting if you refresh the page or come back later on the same device.

Optional sync

We use email only to send sign-in links and connect your practice progress to your account if you opt in. We do not require an account for guest practice.

Operations and improvement

We use aggregate traffic and practice signals to decide which certification pages should get more content, premium web features, or a mobile app.

Contact

If you have a privacy or support question, use the support page or contact the dotCreds owner through the published app support channels.
