This objective covers company settings, fiscal years, currencies, and defaults for the Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator exam.
Core Concepts
- Separate organization-wide settings from user-specific settings. A user's locale and time zone can change display behavior without changing the org default.
- Company Information exposes edition, licenses, storage, default locale/language/time zone, and other org-level settings that influence administration.
- Business Hours and Holidays support time-based service behavior; they are not interchangeable with an individual user's working hours or time zone.
Exam Tips
- Always identify the scope of the requested change before choosing a Setup setting.
