Core Concepts
- Feeder conductors extend from service/other source equipment to the final branch-circuit OCPD; branch-circuit conductors extend from the final OCPD to outlets/equipment.
- In the 2026 NEC, 'within sight' requirements are in 110.29/110.39; for systems 1,000 V or less, equipment must be visible and not more than 50 ft away.
- 'Readily accessible' means reachable quickly without climbing over/removing obstacles or using portable ladders; do not confuse it with 'within sight'.
