- Design begins with calculated sensible and latent loads, not floor area or equipment tonnage alone.
- Airflow must satisfy room/zone loads while staying within the selected equipment's airflow range.
- Available external static pressure is the fan's rated external static capability minus pressure losses assigned to filters, coils, accessories and other components included in that rating path.
Exam Tips
- For 2026, study from the exact DBPR Air A/Air B reference-list editions; code/book lookups should be practiced in those editions, and bring an architect's scale with 1/4-inch and 1/8-inch scales.
